YERWADA JAIL PRISON VISIT

As part of our commitment to experiential learning, first-year law students recently embarked
on a thought-provoking journey to Yerwada Central Prison. Divided into male and female
groups, students had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the dynamics within the
prison walls.
Male students delved into the male open cells, while their female counterparts explored the
female open cells. Led by our dedicated faculty, the visit provided invaluable insights into the
workings of the penal system and the lived experiences of inmates.
Throughout the visit, students engaged with a senior police inspector who generously shared
his expertise and answered queries, fostering a deeper understanding of the legal and social
dimensions surrounding incarceration.
We are immensely proud of our students for their eagerness to learn and their willingness to
engage with complex societal issues. This visit to Yerwada Central Prison will undoubtedly
leave a lasting impact on their academic and personal journeys.

Celebrating the vibrant festival of Vasant Panchami with our esteemed law students was an
absolute delight! The festivities commenced with a beautiful moment as Principal Ma’am
Ms. Aarti Salunkhe, lit the ceremonial diya, illuminating our hearts with positivity and
blessings. All students offered prayers invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati with the
sacred Saraswati Mantra, seeking wisdom, knowledge, and divine guidance.

Christmas Eve Celebration – A joy of giving – Prayas Foundation

The  Joy of Giving Christmas celebration was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and members of Prayas Foundation in a spirit of unity, compassion, and festivity. The event not only celebrated the joy of Christmas but also emphasized the importance of giving back to the community and supporting each other in various aspects of life. Empowerment through Awareness International Human Rights Day celebration in your Classroom Organised for Nirmala English School students of 10 th grade.

The International Human Rights Day celebration at Nirmal English School was a resounding
success, fostering a deeper understanding of human rights issues among the 10th-grade 71+
students attendees. By providing a platform for learning Cyber Crime, Rights of an Human
and many more aspects related to Rights of an Individual. The event contributed to the
holistic development of the students, empowering them to be advocates for human rights in
their communities and beyond. The organizing committee expressed gratitude to one who
contributed to the success of the event i.e; the students, teachers, speakers, and all those who
attended. After the positive feedback from the school students and teachers, Legal Committee
took a pledge for continuing the commitment to human rights education and empowerment in
the years to come.

Advocate’s Day Celebration

A successful event organized by the Legal Committee, featuring a warm welcoming, token presentations, and acknowledgments to notable guests. The celebration included a speech by the CR, a cake- cutting ceremony by Principal. Aarti Salunkhe esteemed guest Dr. Adv. Chitrasen Abhyankar, insightful words for students were shared. Snacks were distributed, concluding a positive program with appreciative student feedback made the celebration a resounding success.

Police Station Visit- Samta Nagar Police Station

Visit to the local police station of Kandivali (E) Samta Nagar Police station, as a part of practical training students observed the officers managing various tasks of the day. Officers were engaged in paperwork, responding to inquiries from citizens, and coordinating ongoing investigations. The station appeared organized, with a central desk for public assistance and separate areas for administrative work and detainment. The officers were approachable and demonstrated professionalism in handling diverse situations. Students had the opportunity to discuss community outreach programs and their efforts to enhance public safety with Police Inspector Pushpak Ingale Sirother officers. Sir emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the community to prevent and address issues effectively. Overall, the visit provided valuable insights into the daily operations and dedication of the officers in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
